The historic Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine was the venue for the Women’s Council of REALTORS 2005 District 1 Forum. The purpose of the forum is a platform for the state President to make her annual visit. The District is composed of the chapters from Gainesville, Palm Coast, St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The 2005 Florida State Chapter President, Cynthia Shafer from Ft. Myers Beach, was named by NAR in 2003 as 1 of 5 Good Neighbor of the Year award winners. Cynthia has been very active as a child adlidem, representing children that are removed from their homes by social services. Her project is providing beds for these children. Cynthia, (with the help of her husband) delivered 457 beds last year! She was the featured speaker of the event and her power point presentation “WCR Making it Work For YOU” was Powerful!

Nancy Argo of Minneapolis, MI. gave an education presentation entitled “Daily To Do’s For You”. Nancy has been a speaker for 20 years at both the state level (Minnesota) and national level. Nancy is also a past REALTOR of the Year for Minneapolis.
