During the past 28 months, OakLeaf Plantation, the 6,400-acre master-planned community in southwest Jacksonville, has experienced record sales. Just this week builders at OakLeaf Plantation passed their 3,000th contract milestone in less than two and a half years of operation. Of those 3,000 contracts, more than 1,800 have closed, with nearly 1,200 either under construction or in the permitting process.
Prior to the ground breaking of the first home at OakLeaf, developer The Hutson Companies constructed almost all major infrastructure, including a $6 million amenity center, complete with a waterpark. Just last month, the second multi-million-dollar amenity center opened in the community. Further lending to the growth of the community is the variety of homes available. From single-family to condominiums and town homes, OakLeaf features homes from 12 builders, each offering an array of plans and pricing options.
