While builders, developers and remodelors focus on their businesses, the Northeast Florida Builders Association has been focusing on ways to provide high quality educational programs that will truly make an impact. Continuing education is more important than ever, and NEFBA is taking a proactive approach.
NEFBA has partnered with a company that has an entire team of highly trained, highly educated and very experienced business consulting experts whose focus is the construction industry. With this new partnership with The Continuing Education Academy, NEFBA will be able to provide a full array of continuing education courses that meet state licensure requirements, but more importantly these courses will truly make a difference personally and professionally.
“The CEA is a statewide organization that specializes in helping contractors take their companies to new levels of success,” said Mark Ferlin, regional manager of CEA. “Whether you are a general contractor, plumber, electrician, HVAC installer, roofer, pool specialist, architect, landscape architect or virtually any other type of state licensed contractor or if you just want to learn the tools and techniques that are helping business owners around the state structure companies that are built to last, then we have the programs for you.”
The partnership with The CEA is another membership benefit, said NEFBA President Jerry Linder.
“We are committed to education,” Linder said. “By offering the courses our members need in partnership with The CEA, we can be more responsive. We believe this is a benefit to all our members who are concerned about licensure and keeping up with trends in the construction industry.”
The CEA philosophy meshed perfectly with that of NEFBA.
“We are unique when compared to many CE credit providers in the fact that our primary goal is not simply to provide credits,” said Trevor W. Harrelson, CEA president. “Our entire focus and objective is to teach valuable business-oriented techniques that attendees can implement immediately. We understand how important business management skills are within the construction industry, and we also realize just how busy contractors are so we have structured our courses so attendees can learn a tremendous amount of cutting edge planning ideas in an easy to understand format in a short period of time.”
