More than 1,000 guests toured the 2006 TV-47 Dream Home at North Hampton, helping to raise $7,800 for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, a nonprofit organization committed to the protection and aid of abused and neglected children in Florida.

“As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the support of others but I am still taken by the generosity and dedication that so many people show when it comes to helping a good cause,” said Monique Burr Foundation President and CEO Dorcas Tanner. “We are truly grateful to everyone who made the Dream Home such a wonderful success. The money raised during this fabulous event will help us to continue our education and prevention programs for children in Northeast Florida.”

LandMar Group LLC, TLConcepts and Watson Custom Home Builders teamed up to bring the Dream Home to the First Coast. Watson Custom Home Builders and scores of volunteers worked to build the $1.5-million, 4,034 square foot Dream Home in less than eight months. The home showcased the craft of more than 30 local businesses.

The Monique Burr Foundation for Children was founded by LandMar Group CEO and President Ed Burr. The foundation provides abuse prevention education with the Good Touch Bad Touch program to the over 16,000 children each year. It also works in partnership with agencies serving children whose primary focus is preventing sexual abuse of children.
