It took only a few seconds to reduce several of the old Fuller Warren Bridge’s piers to rubble Wednesday afternoon. The debris from the blast will be removed from the navigation channel within 30 days. Before the end of January, 10 of the 28 piers will be demolished with explosives and the remaining components will be removed mechanically.
