The Strand apartment tower on the Southbank is getting closer to opening late this fall. The 28-story residential tower with 295 units was started in August 2004 and is being built by American Land Ventures, LLC at a cost of $55 million. Its sister project, The Peninsula, was started in September. The $100 million, 36-floor tower will consist of 295 for-sale condominiums.
