SRG Homes & Neighborhoods, which started building new homes in Springfield in 2003, achieved over $10 million in total sales in 2005. SRG has more than $25 million invested in Springfield developments and production.
“SRG is dedicated to continuing our New Urbanism vision in Historic Springfield,” SRG CEO Mack Bissette said. “Neighborhoods like this, where residents can live, work, shop and play, have great appeal because they offer walkability to the surrounding community. We are proud to be part of the many successes taking place here.”
SRG is the largest developer within Historic Springfield of new Craftsman-style homes, which are priced starting from the high-$200s to the high-$600s. When the company started building in the neighborhood, SRG homes were priced starting from the high-$100s. The first home the company built was priced at $125 per square foot. The majority of homes currently sold or in production average between $160 and $200 per square foot.
Last year, SRG sold out of Market Row phase one, the first significant development of new single-family homes. The company is nearly sold out of Market Row phase two with over 80 percent of the homesites sold or under reservation.
Market Row phase three is now available and several home and homesite packages in Market Row phase three, located at 3rd and Market streets, are already under contract.
SRG’s most popular design is The Powell, a three-story home with more than 2,800 square feet, three bedrooms, bonus areas and two rocking chair back porches.
Now, SRG is offering a new version of The Saxelbye for Market Row phase three. The new Saxelbye has 2,181 square feet and includes three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms as well as a gourmet kitchen and walk-in closets.
