Three of Mercedes Homes’ new home sales consultants were recognized for their outstanding achievements in sales and marketing at the 2006 Laurel Awards presented by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association. Melissa Meide was presented with the Rookie of the Year Award and Michelle Bennett and Mary Spears received the Site Partnership of the Year Award.

“We have a truly exceptional team of new home sales consultants,” said Donna Sadowski, vice president of sales for Mercedes Homes’ Jacksonville division. “We’re proud of each team member’s achievements.”

Meide is a two-year veteran with Mercedes Homes, currently serving at Timothy’s Landing, the homebuilder’s craftsman-inspired townhome community in Jacksonville’s Westside. She opened Timothy’s Landing in May 2005. In 2006, Meide was awarded Rookie of the Year at Mercedes Homes’ annual kick off for her success at Timothy’s Landing. Meide is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and the Sales and Marketing Council.

“What I enjoy most about my role is helping fulfill the American dream of home ownership for first time home buyers,” Meide said.

At Timothy’s Landing, Meide tours new homebuyers through three available floor plans including the Lauren, Preston and Taylor. Each plan offers two or three bedrooms, spacious living areas and kitchens, two and-a-half bathrooms and attached one-car garages. Home sites are situated on cul-de-sac streets and many offer scenic lake views. Community amenities include a relaxing cabana and pool and children’s play area. Homes at Timothy’s Landing are priced from the mid-$100,000s.

Bennett and Spears have served Mercedes Homes for one-and-a-half and four years, respectively. They formed a partnership in December 2004 and worked in concert at Meadow Point and Cherokee Cove before opening Brighton Park. Both Bennett and Spears are members of the Sales and Marketing Council and the Northeast Florida Builders Association.

“We enjoy meeting people and helping them find more than a house,” explains Bennett. “We help them find a place to call home.”

Spears adds, “We truly are a team and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Bennett and Spears welcome homebuyers to Brighton Park, a Mediterranean-inspired townhome community featuring three decorated model homes including the Julington, St. John’s and Atlantic. Each home offers a spacious downstairs living area complete with dining room, kitchen and powder room. Upstairs a grand master suite is accompanied by one or two additional bedrooms, each perfect for a home office or guest room. Each home features covered rear porches and attached one-car garages. Priced from the high-$100,000s, homes are available on lake view or cul-de-sac sites.

Both communities are located in the heart of Jacksonville’s Westside and are in close proximity to local schools and shopping conveniences. Model centers at Timothy’s Landing and Brighton Park are open Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday and Sunday from 12 – 6 p.m. Community information, floor plans and virtual tours are also available at www.mercedeshomes.com.

In addition to their outstanding achievement awards, Meide, Bennett and Spears were each recognized for their sales achievement of over $5 million sold. Jen Mencias, Viki Ricisak and Rob Solano were acknowledged for exceeding $7 million sold. Finally, Jami Maxwell, Jacki Matthews, Jon Gaskins, Jim Bloedow and Jeff Elliott were celebrated for more than $10 million sold.
