Two top sales associates at Ryland Homes won Laurel Awards from the Northeast Florida Home Builders Association recently, for their expertise in new home sales and marketing.

Jeff Agar, president of Ryland Homes in the Jacksonville region, said Tracy Miller won a Laurel award as Sales Manager of the Year. Adrian Shepherd won a Laurel Award as Site Agent of the Year.

Miller joined Ryland Homes in Dallas seven years ago. She has served as sales manager at Ryland’s Jacksonville Division for three years as the division staff grew from three sales professionals to 13.

“Tracy Miller’s excellent recruiting, training and motivation techniques have greatly contributed to the success of the division,” said Agar.

Shepherd joined Ryland Homes three years ago.

“Adrian Shepherd is a consistent performer in whatever community he sells in,” said Agar.

Shepherd has sold homes in Clay, Duval and St. Johns Counties. He sold Ryland-built homes worth a total of $15 million in 2003. In 2004, Shepherd’s sales volume topped $17.2 million and he equaled that figure again last year.

With headquarters in Southern California, Ryland is one of the nation’s largest homebuilders and a leading mortgage-finance company. The company currently operates in 27 markets across the country and has built more than 245,000 homes and financed more than 205,000 mortgages since it was founded in 1967. Ryland is a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “RYL.”
