Judy Hicks of Re/Max Coastal was named the Realtor of the Year and The Parc Group’s Roger O’Steen took the Developer of the Year honor in the annual Laurel Awards.

The awards are given by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and were presented earlier this month at a banquet at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Jacksonville.

The evening’s biggest winner was The Montello Agency, which took seven Laurels for various promotional efforts. DR Horton was next with four Laurels.

The Dick Baker Memorial Award, given annually for service to the industry and named for the late NEFBA president, went to Mark Downing of Cornerstone Homes.

The Grand Award was taken by The Pineapple Corporation and the Golden Service Award went to Mercedes Homes.

Daniel Fuchs of DiscoverTec was the Associate of the Year.

Other major individual awards included Realtor of the Year in the partnership division, which went to the sister team of Selby Kaiser and Linda McMorrow at The Legends of Real Estate; the Rookie of the Year to Jason Brooks of DR Horton; Site Agent of the Year to Dawn Weber of Engle Homes; Site Agent of the Year for a Partnership to the Palencia foursome of Pud English, Nita Roberts, Charlene Cunard and Lance Winters; and the Marketing Director of the Year to Carl Holman of Centex Homes.
