The former Design Review Committee of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission officially convened for the first time Thursday as the new Downtown Development Review Board. JEDC staff liaison Jim Klement (far background) briefly went over some of the new planning duties, such as review of zone changes and variances, the board will perform for development applications in the Downtown Overlay District. In its first action, the board elected landscape architect Chris Flagg to lead the sunshine law-governed meetings as board chair, replacing DRC chair Roland Udenze.
