The Early Learning Coalition, the Jacksonville Children’s Commission and the Jacksonville Kids Coalition are hosting activities throughout the week for Children’s Week. At a Thursday press conference, Mayor John Peyton proclaimed this week as Children’s Week. The schedule for the rest of the week — the events started yesterday — is a follows:

Today

10 a.m.: Starbucks and Story time, 278-1763

10:30 a.m.: Story time at Barnes & Noble, 886-9904

4:30 p.m.: Warm Up America at Jacksonville Public Library, 289-7563

1-5 p.m.: Open House and Free Playtime at Toddler Town, 363-6330

Tuesday

10:30 a.m.: Pre-school story time at Books-A-Million, 805-0004, 262-0023, 273-8055

4-5 p.m.: Cummer Museum “Art in the Afternoon”, 355-0630

4-9 p.m.: AT&T Free Tuesdays at Cummer Art Museum, 355-0630

Wednesday
