Palencia’s sales team once again earned top honors at this year’s Laurel Awards.

Palencia, the award-winning and master-planned Hines community, received the top nod in the individual achievement category for Site Agent of the Year (Partnership/Team).

Palencia’s perennial winning sales team of Pud English, Charlene Cunard, Nita Roberts and Lance Winter received the honor for new residential construction.

Nestled among 2,400 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway off U.S. 1 between St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Palencia is designed for 2,350 residences featuring a variety of housing options by lifestyle and price from the $200s to more than $3 million, including new innovative Village Center live/work units, cottages, villas, condominiums, single-family and pristine estate lots.

“Working as a team as we do has proven to be a wonderful experience. We all share the belief that the quality of life enjoyed at Palencia is unsurpassed,” said Winter, who spoke on behalf of the sales team and said the sales team was honored to be recognized by their peers.

A few factors in receiving the Laurel Award include, but are not limited to, the combined years of experience and high level of enthusiasm that the Palencia sales team brings to the table, outstanding sales figures, knowing their product inside and out, going the extra mile for unequaled customer satisfaction, earning many honors and accolades, dedicating endless hours of charitable work to organizations such as Womanade and daniel, helping organize events and functions that fortify the industry, improve the quality of life and make significant contributions to the builder community and industry as a whole.

And if that is not enough, the closing volume for the team in 2006 was a remarkable $92,542,293.

“We are going to continue to work as hard as we can and will hopefully be recognized again for our commitment to the community,” said Naomi Lumley, director of sales and marketing for Hines at Palencia.

For half a century, Hines has earned a reputation for developing landmark real estate projects. That standard of excellence is evident in the firm’s development of high-rise condominiums, master-planned communities, mixed-use developments and resort properties.

Hines entered the Florida real estate market 23 years ago with development of the one million-square-foot Southeast Financial Center (now Wachovia Financial Center) in downtown Miami, and was recently selected to develop the Frank Gehry-designed New World Symphony facility in Miami Beach, and the Orlando Performing Arts Center in downtown Orlando. Hines has also recently completed Madeira on Marco Island, a 101-unit luxury condominium. In addition to Palencia, Hines is now developing The St. John, a striking, 51-story luxury condominium tower in the Southbank/San Marco area of Jacksonville.

The Hines portfolio of projects underway, completed, acquired and managed for third parties includes more than 950 properties representing approximately 380 million square feet of office, residential, mixed-use, industrial, hotel, medical and sports facilities, as well as large, master-planned communities and land developments.  With offices in 67 U.S. cities and 15 foreign countries, and controlled assets valued at approximately $16 billion, Hines is one of the largest real estate organizations in the world.
