The Parc Group took the Developer of the Year honor in the annual Laurel Awards for the second year in a row.
The awards are given by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and were presented earlier this month at a banquet at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Jacksonville.
Four of the major awards: the Dick Baker Memorial Award, the Grand Award, Realtor of the Year and Realtor of the Year Partnership did not have any entries.
“Those awards were categories,” said Amanda Randolph, director of the Sales and Marketing Council. “We didn’t have any entries for them. I don’t know what determines that, but it happens sometimes.”
Randolph added that there were a few categories added this year to the interior design awards. The categories were made to help break-up the “attached” and “detached” that were previously combined.
The evening’s biggest winner was DR Horton, which took seven Laurels for various individual awards. Renaissance Creative was next with six Laurels for their promotional efforts.
The Golden Service Award went to Ryland Homes.
Other major individual awards included the Rookie of the Year to Megan Chase of Pulte Homes; Site Agent of the Year went to Jeannie Soler of Ryland Homes; Site Agent of the Year for a Partnership went to the DR Horton team of Suzanne Massey, Jason Brooks, John Haben; and the Marketing Director of the Year went to Sheryl Vaughn of Ryland Homes.
There were several repeat winners this year including: the Developer of the Year to The Parc Group; the Best Special Promotion to Morrison Homes; Outside Lender of the Year to Carrie Budds of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; Top Producer of the Year for a Builder/Developer Attached Partnership/Team to Carol Bramer and Laura Huesgen of DR Horton; Top Producer of the Year for an Outside Lender to Aaron Duez of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; Best Industry Related Publication to Realty/Builder Connection; and Best Consumer Publication to Jacksonville Homebuyer.
