From pet insurance to workers’ compensation insurance, the Bar Board of Governors has approved adding five new products to the Bar’s Member Benefits program.
The additions were recommended by the Bar’s Member Benefits Committee and approved by the board at its July meeting. The companies offer discounts to their standard prices for Bar members.
The new services include:
• ADP, which provides payroll services, including tax withholding and retirement recordkeeping.
• Staples, which provides office supplies.
• Two products from BPC Financial: workers’ compensation and pet insurance. The company already provided affinity group plans, premiums discounts, life, health, dental, and other insurance products in the Member Benefits program.
• TheBillableHour.com, which includes law-related gifts, office items, cards, and similar items.
Terry Hill, the director of the Bar’s Programs Division, said the committee is studying other products and services that may be added to the Member Benefits program. Those include cellular service, additional rental car discounts, law office software, online data backup and recovery, a secure service to send and receive confidential files, and lawyer-specific credit card merchant discounts.
A complete listing of all Member Benefits program offerings can be found on the Bar’s Web site.
