If your birthday is Feb. 29, you might only get to officially celebrate once every four years. However, if you are a Leap Year baby, Morton’s The Steakhouse has a deal for you. “Leaplings,” as people who are born on Bissextile Day are known, will receive a complimentary steak and seafood dinner Friday night.

“With leap year only coming once every four years, we wanted to do something special to highlight those with this unique birthday who can’t celebrate on their actual birthday each year,” said Pete Nebrich, general manager of Morton’s on the Southbank. “What could be a better birthday present than a free dinner at Morton’s?”

The steak and seafood dinner will consist of a single-cut fillet; choice of Morton’s jumbo lump crab cake, shrimp Alexander, or broiled sea scallops; choice of Caesar salad or Morton’s salad with blue cheese dressing, chopped egg and anchovies; choice of Morton’s hot chocolate cake or key lime pie; and a complimentary glass of champagne for leaplings at least five and one-quarter years old (otherwise known as 21 and older). Complimentary valet parking will also be provided for the birthday celebrants.

The free birthday dinner is available to those leaplings who make advance reservations to dine in the restaurant and show proof of date of birth (valid ID). Morton’s will limit the offer to the first five leaplings who RSVP. To make reservations, call 399-3933 and specify “Leap Year birthday.”
