Living in one of America’s swankiest areas is not a sure anti-foreclosure vaccine.
The Palm Beach Post went through property and court records and found 11 homes worth more than $1 million in the midst of foreclosure proceedings in Palm Beach.
Just north on Jupiter Island, there’s one owned by the mother of former tennis star Anna Kournikova.
SunTrust Bank is trying to foreclose on a $1.3 million home for which Kournikova’s mom got a $1.8 million mortgage. She still owns the place.
Also in trouble is furniture king Jim Brandon, who once hosted a $200,000 seventh birthday party for his daughter.
