Florida Coastal School of Law welcomed back more than 80 former students last week as part of its 3rd Alumni Weekend. Organizers said the two-day event was highly successful, and that it’s a reflection of the school’s growing national alumni population.

“We had more than 80 alumni attend, representing a number of states,” said Margaret Dees, Coastal Law’s director of institutional advancement. “In addition they represented every class year of the school and just about every practice area and career choice.” The weekend began with four CLE sessions, conducted by combinations of alumni, local attorneys and judges, and school professors, Dees said. The student honors organizations also held open houses throughout Friday, leading up to a sit-down dinner in the Coastal Law Atrium.

That following Saturday, alumni were welcomed back for family fun and a brunch and at Dave & Busters.

“Our alumni had a wonderful time and all came away with an ongoing commitment to helping us recruit the best students nationwide, while their outstanding professional successes continue to help us grow in stature and reputation,” said Emily Tracy, Coastal Law’s director of development. “Needless to say, the event was a complete success.”
