The St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of Realtors is looking for a new staff leader after getting the resignation of Marian Blanchard, the executive vice president and CEO.

A selection committee of members of the Board and the Multiple Listing Service Board has been formed to seek and interview qualified applicants for the position.

“The St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of Realtors launched a search for a new executive officer as it announced the retirement of Marian Blanchard our executive vice president and CEO,” said Teresa Mecurio, president of the association and owner of Re/Max 100 Realty, in a statement. “Over the past nine years, Ms. Blanchard directed the installation of a new MLS system, guided the completion and the move into a new board office building, added a new branch office and developed solid working relationships with the Builders Council as well as various other associations within the county. Additionally, we now have a Commercial Information Exchange for our commercial members and a Women’s Council of Realtors recognized throughout the state as one of the best chapters.

“In nine years she has been able to lower our debt of $750,000 and very little in the bank, to a financially sound organization. Our building is close to being paid off and we have healthy reserves in the bank should we need them during these trying times.”

The office did not respond to a request for more information.
