The site of the new County Courthouse has quickly become the center of activity for that area of Downtown. There are now three large cranes on site and pilings are being driven for the foundation. The new Courthouse is expected to be “substantially” complete by late June of 2011 when Mayor John Peyton leaves office. The new Courthouse is also the last vertical project within the $2.2 billion Better Jacksonville Plan.
