New sewer pipe

Workers from Insituform Technologies, Inc. Wednesday installed a new sewer pipe under Bay Street from almost Newnan to Main Street. But, this isn’t your conventional sewer pipe. As opposed to using cast iron piping, a high-tech soft fiberglass pipe is inserted into the ground. That material — called Insitupipe — is then heated to between 160 and 170 degrees. Once cooled, the pipe consists of hardened fiberglass and will last for many years.
