How did you get involved in Onejax?
Marc Mayo asked me to serve on the board.
How can someone else get involved?
Call Marc. Or visit our Web site at www.onejax.org.
What have you learned though the experience?
Onejax is an interfaith organization that promotes respect and understanding among people of different religions, races and cultures through education and community building. Through Onejax I attended a seminar on institutional racism, led by the Aspen Institute, which was extremely enlightening about the pervasiveness of more subtle forms of racism. The board is an amazingly diverse, committed and talented group of people that gives me great hope for our community. Brenda Ezell is our new board chair and she is a wonderful dedicated leader.
