• Two attorneys with Rogers Towers — A. Graham Allen and Edward McCarthy III — have been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine as two of the top business litigation lawyers in the state. Both are board certified in civil trail by the Florida Bar.
• Roger Cossack, the attorney you see on ESPN whenever a sports/legal topic makes Sports- center, will be at the University of Florida Levin College of Law April 3 for a lecture on “Media and the Law.” In addition to providing analysis for ESPN, Cossack is a practitioner in residence at Pepperdine University School of Law.
• Attorney Ed Booth of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, has let Mayor John Peyton know he’d be interesting in serving on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s board of directors. Booth is board certified in aviation law by the Bar, one of less than 30 attorneys in the state with that distinction. He has also kept his private plane at JIA for more than 20 years.
• Cheap entertainment is valued during tough economic times, but free entertainment is even better. Spectators are welcomed to cheer for the teams of the Atlantic Division of the World Adult Kickball League Thursday nights at St. Nicholas Park on Spring Park Road near the split of 9A into Atlantic and Beach Boulevards. Games start at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., and four games are played during each session. There is limited seating so bring a chair. The spring season kicked off Thursday.
