• Former St. Joe Company CEO Peter Rummell was honored by the Northeast Florida Regional Council for his commitment to regionalism. Rummell received the Harry Waldron Regional Leadership Award from the organization during its Seventh Annual Regional Leadership Awards Program. Several organizations and individuals received honors, including special recognition of Wayne and Delores Weaver for their philanthropic contributions to the region.

• Burro Bags, the local company that manufactures courier bags from recycled materials, is moving from North Main Street to East Forsyth Street Downtown in the former Futch Printing & Mailing Building. The doors will open April 15 and a grand opening celebration is set for May 5, which is also the date of the First Wednesday Art Walk.
• The Jacksonville Humane Society plans its 11th annual Fur Ball Gala at 7 p.m. May 15 at the Omni. The black-tie fundraiser’s theme this year is “a night at the oscars.” Tickets are $150 a person. • “Cruise business” is on the agenda at this morning’s Jacksonville Port Authority board meeting. Port spokesperson Nancy Rubin says board Chairman David Kulik will ask to “reopen the discussion” about the future of a new cruise ship terminal. “He wants it opened for study,” she said. The authority is scheduled to meet at 9 a.m. at its headquarters at 2831 Talleyrand Ave.
