• The Greater Jacksonville Fair has announced its entertainment lineup for the Nov. 3-14 event. Acts include Laura Bell Bundy, Steel Magnolia, Clay Walker, Danny Gokey, the Lovin’ Spoonful and others. Free seating is available for all shows and VIP tickets are for sale for some shows. • The St. Johns Riverkeeper recently released the results of its St. Johns River issues survey sent to candidates seeking elected offices throughout the river’s area. Responses were received from 17 candidates vying for seats in 14 different races, including the U.S. House and Florida House and Senate. • Gov. Charlie Crist recently reappointed Gordon Blalock, vice president of Omni International Jet Trading Inc., for another term to the Municipal Service District of Ponte Vedra Beach. Blalock’s term will begin Nov. 3 and end Nov. 5, 2012.

• The Meninak Club of Jacksonville and Rotary Club of Jacksonville battled it out on the links last week as part of their annual charity golf outing, but neither civic organization will be in session today. Both groups will take off in observance of Columbus Day.

• Connect Jacksonville is offering a free 90-minute seminar on reputation management Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. at the agency’s office on East Bay Street. It will be conducted by George Swisher and John Ream, agency principals. To participate, reply to [email protected].
