The percentage of 45 to 54-year-olds continues to dominate age groups in metro Jacksonville at 15 percent or more of the total population the past three years.
That percentage is followed closely by 34 to 44-year-olds.
However, the percentage of 75-year-olds and older is growing, as is the percentage of 15 to 34-year-olds.
The median age in metro Jacksonville - meaning half of the population is older and half is younger - fell from 2008-2009, indicating a generally younger population.
Meanwhile, the share of men vs. women remains relatively stable at 49 percent to 51 percent.
