Online job advertising in Northeast Florida rose 22 percent in July from July 2010, an increase of 3,942 jobs, according to WorkSource, but has declined over the month.

WorkSource is the Florida workforce organization serving Northeast Florida.

WorkSource reported 21,515 online job vacancies in July, up over the year but down 3.3 percent from June, when 22,247 jobs were advertised online.

The numbers are adjusted over the month.

WorkSource said that online job demand in the six-county WorkSource region has increased by 7,202 jobs since the official end of the recession in June 2009.

Regional labor demand bottomed out in January 2009, measured by the online advertised vacancies. Since then, demand has increased by 10,665 openings.

The WorkSource region consists of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties.

Job postings remain most prevalent in computer systems, retail sales and sales management, truck driving and nursing.

The monthly report comes from data collected by The Conference Board, a New York-based nonprofit and independent source of economic information.

The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation provided a subscription to each of the 24 workforce regions in Florida.
