Three from Jacksonville apply for 1st DCA

The 1st District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission released the list of applicants for a judicial opening and three are from Jacksonville.

Circuit Judges Jim Daniel and Waddell Wallace and City Assistant General Counsel Craig Feiser have applied for the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Paul Hawkes. The commission received 21 applications for the position.

The commission will meet Dec. 29 to decide which applicants will be interviewed and will then notify the applicants.

Interviews will be Jan. 5-6 at the 1st District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee. The interviews will be open to the public.
