Downtown’s most expansive holiday display is the atrium lobby at Wells Fargo Center.

For almost 20 years, Rose Jackson, president of Anything With Plants & Flowers, and her staff have arrived at the building early on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to install and decorate the tree and place holiday-themed décor throughout the lobby.

Jackson said the Wells Fargo Center tree is one of more than 100 the company sets up each year in buildings, offices and homes.

“We work all year to get ready for Christmas,” Jackson said.

Behind the reception desk is the “Giving Tree,” which is decorated each year with ornaments bearing the name of a person served by Angelwood Inc. or by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.

People who work in the building choose an ornament and then purchase and donate holiday gifts to someone who might not otherwise have gifts Christmas morning.

“We had almost 60 names on the tree this year,” said Sheri Webber, the building’s concierge.

In addition to the traditional Christmas tree, there’s a nativity scene sponsored by Barnett Jewelers, a menorah and a Kwanzaa display.

Webber said the building’s management company, Parkway Realty Services, wanted to be inclusive of faiths and celebrations during the season.
