• Marie Gooding, first vice president and COO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, is scheduled to speak to the Economic Roundtable of Jacksonville at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31 at the Federal Reserve Bank branch at 800 Water St. in Jacksonville. • Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland said Tuesday is the last day to register to vote or change party affiliation for the Presidential Preference Primary on Jan. 31. Florida is a closed primary state, meaning voters may only vote for candidates of the political party in which they are registered. The Jan. 31 election involves all of Duval County’s 250 precincts. Only registered Republicans in Duval County are eligible to vote for the Republican presidential candidates. However Neptune Beach voters are an exception. All voters residing in Neptune Beach are eligible to vote for a local referendum. For information, visit www.duvalelections.com.

• Shoe Carnival Inc., chaired by former Jacksonville Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver, said CEO Mark Lemond, CFO Kerry Jackson and Executive Vice President Cliff Sifford will participate in the 14th Annual ICR XChange Conference in Miami. Shoe Carnival’s investor presentation is scheduled at 1:35 p.m. Jan 11. The audio portion of the presentation will be webcast live and a replay will be available until Jan. 25 on the investors section at www.shoecarnival.com.

• Michael Prentice has joined the FirstAtlantic Bank team as vice president and manager of the bank’s Orange Park financial center.  Prentice most recently served as banking center manager at Synovus Bank of Jacksonville, where he was responsible for daily banking center operations and business development for the Clay County market. He is based at 1440 Kingsley Ave.
