• Nancy S. Bennett was named vice president and portfolio loan officer in commercial lending at TD Bank in Jacksonville. She is responsible for underwriting and monitoring a commercial loan portfolio and managing loan relationships in North Florida. She has 28 years of experience, previously with Wachovia/Wells Fargo in the commercial real estate special situations group.

• The Main Street America Group won an “Award of Excellence” for its 2010 annual report, “Power in Numbers,” at the Insurance Marketing Communications Association annual meeting in Toronto. It’s the second time in the past three years that Jacksonville-based Main Street America, a property/casualty insurance carrier, was honored for the report in its category. The report is produced by its corporate communications department.

• The second annual “Going Places” fashion show by the North Florida Women’s Transportation Seminar is planned Aug. 18 at the Jacksonville Port Authority cruise terminal. Last year’s show generated almost $10,000 for scholarships for five students and other educational purposes. Stein Mart and Phil’s Shoes will style the local celebrities who volunteer to model.

• The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens’ DinoAlive! exhibit, which opened March 1, generated record attendance of 356,804 the past four months. It’s a 13 percent increase in attendance over the same time period for 2010 and broke the former record of 327,565 visitors by 9 percent. That was when Stingray Bay opened in 2008.

• The Sulzbacher Center announced officers. Chair is Bill Scheu, a partner with Rogers Towers; vice chair is lawyer Justin Spiller of Justin Spiller PA; treasurer is Michael Del Rocco, a senior vice president of TD Bank; and secretary is Michael Santarone, executive vice president and COO of Stellar.
