Online job advertising in Northeast Florida rose 22 percent in June from June 2010, according to WorkSource, the Florida workforce organization serving Northeast Florida.

It reported that 3,897 more job vacancies, bringing the total to 21,587, were posted online in June.

Over the month, the number of online job postings dropped less than 1 percent, from 21,732 to 21,587, a decline of 145 postings. Numbers are adjusted over the month.

Since the official end of the recession in June 2009, online job demand in the region of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties has risen by 7,275 jobs.

WorkSource said labor demand, measured by the online vacancies, has increased by 10,738 openings since labor demand bottomed out in the area in January 2009.

Again, job postings were most prevalent in the health care, sales, computer and truck-driving fields.

The report is made monthly. Data is collected by The Conference Board.

The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation provided a subscription to each of the 24 workforce regions in Florida.

The Conference Board, based in New York, is a nonprofit, independent source of economic and business information. It was founded in 1916.
