• E. Carson Lange joined Rogers Towers as a member of the law firm’s Litigation Department. Lange will concentrate in the areas of commercial litigation, torts and civil trial practice. She previously worked for the National Veterans Legal Services Program in Washington, D.C. She attended the University of Florida, where she earned bachelor’s degrees and her Juris Doctor from the Levin College of Law.

• Condolences to the family of lawyer and community leader Mark Hulsey Jr., who died Friday at the age of 88. Hulsey was the retired chair of the Smith Hulsey & Busey law firm and is survived by four children, including Circuit Judge Mark Hulsey III. Hulsey was president of The Jacksonville Bar Association in 1962-63 and president of The Florida Bar in 1969-70. A memorial service is planned at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Cathedral.

• Sympathies to the family of former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Assistant City General Counsel Ernst Mueller, who died Thursday after a three-year battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Mueller, 69, is survived by his wife, Nancy, and three sons. A memorial celebration is planned at 5 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Presbyterian Church.

• Jacksonville-based Stellar, a construction, design, engineering and mechanical services firm, has promoted Luke Facemyer to director of Refrigeration/Mechanical Engineering. He has worked with Stellar for seven years, in both the engineering and refrigeration operations departments.
