How did you get involved?
Stuck my nose in the pile to do my part to improve downtown and help JaxPort recognize its economic potential. JALA “Ask-a-Lawyer” is one of my very favorite events and I participate every time Kathy Para will let me. These are great opportunities to give back and provide some legal relief to folks who cannot otherwise afford it.
How can someone else get involved?
Simply decide to make a difference and become an active member of an organization bigger than yourself. A plethora of organizations need your commitment — pick one please. No excuses!
What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
It reinforced my belief that actions speak louder than words and that I have been blessed to have been given what I have. As I near the age of being bombarded by AARP, I realize I have a big debt to repay to society.
What was the last book you read or are reading?
“Liberty and Tyranny,” by Mark Levin but my favorite book remains “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.
