The World Affairs Council of Jacksonville scheduled programs for its 2011-12 series. They include:

• Sept. 27: Dennis P. Lockhart, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, “The Economic Situation and Financial Markets,” noon, The River Club.

• Oct. 11: A. Paul Anderson, CEO, Jacksonville Port Authority, “JaxPort’s Ties to the Economic Future of the First Coast Community,” noon, The River Club.

• Oct. 25: Fouad Ajami, the Majid Khadduri Professor and Director of Middle Eastern Studies at The Johns Hopkins University, “The Arab Spring: Outlook for The Middle East,” 7 p.m., University of North Florida University Center.

• Nov. 8: M. Farooq Kathwari, chair, president and CEO of Ethan Allen Interiors Inc., “The Future of U.S. Manufacturing,” noon, The River Club.

• Nov. 29: Norman J. Ornstein, Roll Call columnist, election analyst for CBS News and co-director of the AEI-Brookings Election Reform Project, “Looking Ahead to the 2012 Elections,” 7 p.m. UNF University Center.

• Jan. 10: David Ignatius, Washington Post columnist, “National Security,” 7 p.m. UNF University Center.

• Feb. 14: Sheryl WuDunn, Pulitzer Prize winner, author, executive and lecturer, “China: An Economic Outlook,” noon, The River Club; “The China Challenge,” 7 p.m., UNF University Center.

• March 6: Frank Trotter, president of EverBank Direct and founding partner of EverBank, “Geopolitical Events & Sovereign Debt — Ideas to Cover the Risk,” noon, The River Club.

• March 13: Michael Mandelbaum, author and the Christian A. Herter Professor and Director of American Foreign Policy at The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, “That Used to Be Us: How America Fell Behind in the World We Invented and How We Can Come Back,” 7 p.m., UNF University Center.

• April 11: Michael Sandel, Harvard University professor and author, “How to Think About Moral and Ethical Dilemmas in a Global Age,” 7 p.m., UNF University Center.
