St. Vincent’s HealthCare broke ground on its Clay County Ambulatory Pavilion and Hospital Thursday at Blanding Boulevard and Branan Field Road in Orange Park.
“St. Vincent’s is thrilled to be expanding into Clay County. The community has welcomed us with open arms, sharing their excitement about the construction of our new campus,” said Moody Chisholm, CEO of St. Vincent’s HealthCare, in a statement.
“The need for increased access to health care has grown substantially in Clay County. This facility will expand the options available and enhance access to the quality care the citizens there want and deserve,” he said.
St. Vincent’s Clay County campus will include extensive ambulatory, outpatient and inpatient services.
The medical center also will provide cardiology, general surgery, neurosurgical, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology and orthopedic care.
Planning, programming and design plans for the hospital are in final development and are being submitted to regulatory authorities. Completion of the hospital is expected in the fall of 2013.
St. Vincent’s HealthCare includes St. Vincent’s Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Catherine Labouré Manor, St. Vincent’s Primary Care, Consolidated Laboratories, Advanced Patient Transportation, Seton Pharmacies and Consolidated Pharmacies.
