• Adam G. “Lep” Adams joined Foley & Lardner’s Jacksonville office as a partner in the law firm’s construction and business litigation and dispute resolution practices. He formerly was a shareholder with Rogers Towers.

• Jacksonville attorneys Susan Cohen and Marianne Lloyd Aho have been named as chair and vice chair, respectively, of The Florida Bar’s 4A Grievance Committee. The committee investigates complaints against attorneys and determines whether probable cause exists for alleged bar rule violations warranting trial or other disposition. 

• The U.S. Small Business Administration will hold an informational meeting on the Emerging 200 (e200) initiative from 10-11 a.m. March 16 at the SBA North Florida District Office at 7825 Baymeadows Way. The initiative is designed to provide several months of advanced business training and resources to owners and executives of existing, inner-city businesses with high potential for growth. • An Urban Land Institute North Florida District Council breakfast program April 7 will cover the proposed “Mobility Plan” for Jacksonville. A panel discussion will be moderated by Brad Thoburn of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority. It will be at The St. Joe Building in Riverside. • If you noticed coming into Downtown from Southside, it was the “Nodis” building on Thursday as the “M” was being dismantled in removing the “Modis” name from the tower’s south face.
