How did you get involved?
When I was in law school, I was active in the Tallahassee Bar Association. I decided that getting involved with The JBA would be a great way to meet people after I moved to Jacksonville. In 2006, I was elected to the YLS board of governors and served as a board member for two years. In 2008, when Kevin Cook’s seat on The Florida Bar YLD opened up, I threw my name in the hat to get involved on the statewide level.

How can someone else get involved?
Join a committee on the YLS and help plan one of its many events, or consider running for the board of governors.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
I have met so many talented lawyers in Jacksonville and throughout the state, and have grown personally and professionally through working with these great leaders. The friendships I have made during my time on the YLS and YLD boards will last throughout my professional career.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
“First Family” by David Baldacci and “Winnie-the-Pooh” by A.A. Milne
