How did you get involved?
My family has always encouraged community service. While working as a Guardian ad Litem attorney I became more aware of issues challenging Jacksonville families. I saw the Christian Legal Society’s Pro Bono Legal Clinic as a way to assist others through difficult times.

How can someone else get involved?
I would recommend contacting attorney Jeanne Helton, CLS President or attorney Blane McCarthy. McCarthy has lead CLS in the pro bono clinic for over 10 years. As the president of CLS, Attorney Helton can provide additional information on CLS pro bono projects.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
The CLS Pro Bono Legal Clinic has given me the opportunity to share my faith as well as my legal skills.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
“The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable” by Patrick Lencioni.
