More than 100 area real estate executives are expected to attend an Urban Land Institute North Florida annual program that delves into what’s ahead in the challenged market.
“Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2012” is scheduled to begin with networking at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Hyatt Downtown. The dinner and program follow from 6-8 p.m.

National and local speakers will talk about trends and forecasts for the coming year and how the recession, which ended officially in June 2009, continues to affect the market.
Peter Rummell, principal of Rummell Company LLC in Jacksonville, chairs the global ULI organization. He will serve a two-year term, from July this year to June 2013.
Rummell is on the agenda Wednesday to moderate a panel discussion about how national economic and real estate trends will affect Northeast Florida.
In addition, Dean Schwanke, executive director for the ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate and senior vice president for ULI in Washington, D.C., will make a keynote presentation.
Bruce Johnson, ULI North Florida district council chair, said Schwanke’s presentation will include “some of the newest and cutting-edge research.”
Those attending will receive the “Emerging Trends in Real Estate” publication produced by ULI and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The event is presented by Regency Centers and sponsored by Regency Centers, Rogers Towers, EverBank, CPH Engineers, Flagler and Hallmark Partners.
The panelists consist of Charles Carlisle of Bristol Development Group, Jerry Mallot of JAXUSA Partnership and Eric Zimmermann of Eastdil Secured.
