• Jewish Family & Community Services has selected Colleen Rodriguez as its new executive director. She has been with the agency for 14 years, most recently as interim executive director. She has a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University and is a licensed social worker. She succeeds Iris Young.
• Gov. Rick Scott announced the reappointment of Richard Browdy to the Florida Building Commission to serve as its chair. Browdy, of Jacksonville, is the president of Browdy & Browdy Inc. He succeeds Raul Rodriguez as chair and is appointed for a term that began Friday and ends Oct. 14, 2015. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
• Fifth Third Mortgage, the mortgage lending division of Fifth Third Bank, hired four employees for its Northeast Florida operations. Chris Clemente, previously with Wells Fargo, joins as a mortgage loan originator. Robert Clemente, also previously with Wells Fargo, joins as a mortgage loan officer. Sarah Dalrymple, previously a residential mortgage lender with EverBank, joins as a mortgage loan officer. • Condolences to the family and friends of longtime lawyer and former Judge William Maness. Maness died Tuesday of heart failure at the age of 94.
• The Riverside Hospital Foundation has asked for organizations to submit a Request for Proposal to address the foundation’s concern with access to health care in the community. The RFP must address two criteria: The program must be in one or more of the Northeast Florida counties of Baker, Clay, Duval Nassau and St. Johns, and the program must be new and innovative in its approach to providing greater access to health care with measureable results.
