The John Gorrie a condominium, one of Jacksonville’s premier condo communities located in Jacksonville’s Riverside Avondale neighborhood, recently received an award for Outstanding Multi-Family Renovation from Riverside Avondale Preservation. The award recognizes the work of Delores Barr Weaver, who led the project; Gordon’s Castle, the contractor; and Rob Overly, the architect, for the restoration and renovation of the former John Gorrie Junior High School into condominium homes.
