Voters in the 2012 Political Hob Nob Thursday straw poll chose Republican candidates in almost all of the partisan races, clearly choosing Mitt Romney for president and Connie Mack for U.S. senator.
In the 514 votes cast, voters also chose Mike Weinstein over Aaron Bean, both Republicans, in the District 4 Florida Senate race.
Also, Jim Fuller was re-elected as clerk of the court in the straw vote.
“It’s clear that people are as motivated as ever this election cycle,” said Rich Jones, news director and morning host of WOKV FM-106.5 and AM-690.
“WOKV is happy to provide voters the opportunity to hear from as many candidates as possible in one place and on one night,” Jones said this morning.
WOKV, a news partner of the Daily Record, hosted the event with the JAX Chamber and its ImpactJAX young professionals group.
