In one of the more surprising primary results, attorney and challenger Suzanne Bass unseated Judge John Merrett in Circuit Judge Group 34. Bass, a solo practitioner, garnered just over 59 percent of the vote compared to Merrett’s just over 40 percent. Merrett was elected to the bench in 2006.
