An executive with Jacksonville-based Advanced Disposal Services said the company has filed a request for incentives with the City and state, as well as with other governments, to determine where it will establish its consolidated headquarters.

The company also has named its new leadership team for the consolidated operations.

“Advanced Disposal has submitted its incentive package to the City and state of Florida as well as to other cities and states and the applications are under review,” Chief Marketing Officer Mary O’Brien said Monday in a statement. She did not elaborate.

“We are under certain confidentiality requirements and cannot discuss any of the incentive packages in detail,” O’Brien said.

Paul Crawford, acting director of the City Office of Economic Development, said he has not seen details of the request but understands that Advanced Disposal is asking for incentives under the Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund program.

That program refunds taxes to a company after it pays the taxes and meets job creation requirements.

Economic development deals are exempt from Florida’s public records requirements until they are disclosed by the economic development agency or the prospect or else after a period of time.

Upon the official closing of two recent acquisition and consolidation agreements, Advanced Disposal will have operations in 20 states and annual revenues of about $1.4 billion, along with a fleet of more than 3,000 trucks, 47 landfills, 92 transfer stations and almost 5,500 employees.

The company said it will be the largest privately held environmental services company in the United States.

Advanced Disposal has said it was considering up to four different locations for the headquarters — Jacksonville, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Charlotte.

On Friday, the company announced the senior leadership team to manage and direct the consolidated companies of Advanced Disposal, Veolia ES Solid Waste and Interstate Waste Services with the fall acquisition of Veolia and the consolidation of Interstate Waste, announced July 18.

• Charlie Appleby remains chairman and CEO.

• Wally Hall (no photo available) will be chief operating officer. He was one of the founding members of Advanced Disposal and has been COO since its start in 2000.

• Richard Burke will be president. He most recently was CEO of Veolia Environmental Services North America.

• Steve Carn will be chief financial officer. He joined Advanced Disposal five months after its inception.

• O’Brien is chief marketing officer. She joined Advanced Disposal three months after it began.

• Scott Friedlander will serve as general counsel. He currently serves as general counsel of Interstate.
