Once each year, the Rotary Club of Jacksonville meets at the Omni Hotel Downtown with no business to conduct and no published agenda.
The Monday meeting marked its annual Christmas Family Luncheon.
The occasion featured a performance by the First Coast High School chorus led by John Larsen, the recipient of the first Willis Page Music Award. The honor was awarded in March and founded by club member Willis Page, a former conductor of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, to each year recognize an outstanding music educator in North Florida.
Page led the members and family members in a sing-along of Christmas carols.
The event concluded with the arrival of Santa Claus, who heard and took under advisement gift requests from the children in the audience.
