Foundation Financial Group has signed a lease for about 38,000 square feet of office space Downtown in the SunTrust Building, a move company officials say will help the company expand.
"FFG has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years and our expansion into the SunTrust building was a strategic move to accommodate that growth," Tanya Mauro, company chief financial officer said in a news release.
The company offers insurance, retirement, mortgage and tax services and has about 125 employees in Jacksonville. It will look to hire "as many quality applicants as we can find," according to Jessica Gueterman, company assistant vice president of public relations. She said the potential growth areas include loan officers, insurance agents, tax attorneys, human resources, finance, information technology and public relations and marketing.
It will occupy the 14th floor of the SunTrust Building to start with potential future build-out when the company's meets its expansion goals. It will maintain all of its current leased space at One Enterprise Center building at 225 Water St.
The additional space will accommodate about 150 people per floor and will allow flexibility as the company "realizes its aggressive development goals." The building is currently at a 41 percent occupancy rate, but will reach 50 percent once the company takes possession of the space.
