The Urban Land Institute North Florida group features Bruce Johnson, CFO of Regency Centers, at its membership event at 5:30-7 p.m. today at the Riverplace Tower on the Plaza level. Johnson joins Walter O’Shea of Hines, Miriam Sowinksi of Holland & Knight and Ryan Schmitt of Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors to speak about their insights into lessons learned during the recession and how ULI helped members cope with the market conditions. • Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll is scheduled for a presentation at the 2012 Black History Month Celebration at noon Friday at the Florida Coastal School of Law. Her topic is “Black History and Politics: Sharing Her Journey to Lieutenant Governor.” She is the first woman and the first African-American elected statewide. She will speak to the school’s Republican Legal Society, Women’s Law Student Association, Military Law Student Association and Black Law Student Association.
