Asked the week of Dec. 5 if new ownership of the Jacksonville Jaguars will improve ticket sales, readers were 50-50 about it.

Readers responded to the 13 Weekly Poll questions from October through December. While the results are not scientific, they do reflect public opinion.

While 32 percent said none, 41 percent said they have owned one to three Apple products and 27 percent replied they have owned more than three.

Among other questions, readers responded in a strong majority to several queries about financial and personal matters.

When it comes to invitations to events, 58 percent of readers still prefer to receive them by U.S. mail while 42 percent said email was their preferred method of event communication.

Then there is the question that harkens back to resolutions at the start of 2011. Did readers lose weight over the year? Almost two-thirds, at 63 percent, said they did and 37 percent said they did not.

Looking toward the 2012 presidential election, readers in early November were leaning toward the GOP. Asked which way they were leaning in the election, 53 percent of readers said Republican, 36 percent said Democrat, 3 percent said other and 8 percent were undecided.

This week’s question asks: “How many movies have you seen in the theater in the past year? None; 1-4; or 5 or more?”
