Linder running for FHBA post

Jacksonville builder and former NEFBA president Jerry Linder is a candidate for the leadership team of the Florida Home Builders Association

If elected, Linder would be installed as FHBA secretary for 2012-2013 and would be on the ladder for FHBA president. The election will be at the FHBA’s Fall Leadership Conference on Nov. 1-3 in St. Petersburg.

“Jerry Linder has contributed so much to NEFBA and will do the same for FHBA,” said NEFBA President Barbara Moore, who is division president for Lennar Jacksonville. “He is a passionate leader with an eye for innovation and a vision for the future.”

Linder has more than 20 years of industry experience and is currently president of J.L. Linder Group. He served has NEFBA president in 2006 and has also served and chaired numerous committees for NEFBA and for FHBA. In 2012, he has served as chair of the FHBA’s Area Vice Presidents Council and chair of the Audit Committee.

A Northeast Florida native, Linder has received numerous honors and recognition during his career including the Dick Baker Award and the Clay County Builder of the Year. He is active with several charitable organizations including the Quigley House, Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, Trinity Rescue Mission, Dreams Come True and Builders Care.

“Through NEFBA and FHBA, I am surrounded by the best people who inspire me,” Linder said. “I am extremely honored that my peers in Northeast Florida and across the state are supporting my nomination for FHBA. It would be my privilege to help lead our state association’s advocacy efforts, work with other dedicated professionals to address industry challenges and, ultimately, make a difference in our communities across Florida.”

The current FHBA president is David Carter of Winter Haven and the First Vice President/Treasurer is Suzanne Graham of Port Charlotte. Ron Lieberman of Beverly Hills is the Secretary.
